Validated UV, such as the PharmaLine PQ range, protects ambient purified water treatment systems from biofilm build-up both in the generation and distribution loop and is extremely effective at destructing target objectionable organisms such as Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Staphylococcus Aureus and E.coli, leading to reduced frequency for system shutdown for CIP / SIP.
Where distribution loops are designed for ozone sanitisation, either through continuous ozonation of the purified water storage tank or shock sanitisations, the PharmaLine DO UV range provides a cost-effective, hygienic solution for ozone destruction prior to point of use, protecting the final product from contamination.
The combination of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and CEDI / EDI is proven worldwide for the generation of Purified Water but these core technologies need protecting from the residual chlorine dosed by Municipalities into the potable water supply. The PharmaLine DC is an intense, medium pressure UV range that provides an excellent alternative to activated carbon or sodium metabisulphite dosing for chlorine destruction prior to RO/CEDI with the added advantages of being chemical free, compact in design and delivering a high disinfection UV dose to keep your pre-treatment process free of biofilm.
